We
provide comprehensive hands-on
assessments
that evaluate your child
in six areas:
- cognitive
(thinking and learning)
- receptive
and expressive language (listening
and speaking)
- fine
motor (using the hands)
- gross
motor (using the whole body)
- social-emotional
(interacting with others and
behavior)
- adaptive
(doing things for yourself)
We determine each child’s
strengths
and areas in need of intervention. You will be given a report detailing
all the findings. For each area in need of intervention, the
developmental specialist will give suggestions of activities to help
improve those skills.
Children are evaluated on their initial
visit
and assessed again every six months to monitor progress and update
goals. Developmental Intervention Services, LLC is happy to use a
previous outside assessment, such as the school district’s
testing report, if it covers the same areas and has been completed
within 45 days of starting services with us.
